Collective Soul, Live and Counting Crows are currently touring around the U.S. on their ‘Triple Play’ tour. The reason they are calling it the ‘Triple Play’ tour is that they are traveling around to a number of minor league ballbarks around the country for outdoor concerts.
We went to see the concert in Dayton, Ohio over the weekend. I expected it to be packed since the place only held a few thousand. However when we got there it was about half filled and their was plenty of room to stand around in the outfield to watch all the acts (it probably that it rained earlier in the day which may have scared people into staying home).
As a side note, if you ever have time to check out Fifth Third Field, Home of the Dayton Dragons, I would highly recommend it. It is a beautiful new ballpark which is one of the best minor league ballparks I have seen.
