Ben Gillbanks, creator of Binary Moon, is holding a link competition to promote the changes he is making to his blog. He says he is looking for sites that are new to him (I’m sure this site will be) that are about video games, movies, books etc (Hey, that sounds a lot like Things That Are Fun!). So, for the prizes he’s giving away for a review, I thought it was worth a shot.
Contest Details
For anyone reading that’s interested in the contest, by August 15th you will need to write an article and link back to his site telling him you’re done. Doesn’t seem like much trouble if you look at the prizes. And what are the prizes you ask? Well here you go:
- All Entrants will receive a link in a round up post after the competition is complete (which will stay on the homepage for a few days).
- The selected winners will receive a link in his blogroll which is valued at $150 (nice).
- The top winner will also receive a review from Ben valued at $200 (even nicer).
So back to looking at the site. In his about page Ben talks about being a video game artist that is very interested in his work, and his site reflects that. Looking around, you will find some great reviews about a few of the things he enjoys - from video games to movies to game systems. I was particularly interested in his review of the Wii (on his sister site BinaryJoy), since I’ve been thinking about getting one since I got to play it once a few months ago. I was also intrigued by his review of the Spiderman 3 movie, as I particularly did not enjoy it nearly as much as the first too, but his enthusiasm about the movie has made me think about it again.
Binary Moon is Worth Checking Out
Overall, Binary Moon looks like the type of site that I can enjoy and will definitely be checking back. I’m interested in the changes that Ben said he will make to see how he plans on improving his site.
