Knocked Up - Funniest Movie of the Summer

In case you haven’t noticed from my postings lately, I’ve been checking out a bunch of movies this summer.  Recently I’ve seen The Bourne Ultimatum, Transformers, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, The Simpsons, and License to Wed.  But by far, I think the funniest movie out right now is Knocked Up.

I was a little skeptical of how funny it could be without any big comedy names in the movie.  Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy) and Seth Rogan (40 Year Old Virgin) don’t have a long line of leading roles in comedies to fall back on, but that didn’t make a difference once the movie started.  Seth’s character Ben Stone and his live-in buddies in the movie have so many great one liners they’re hard to keep track of. 

As soon as this comes out on DVD I’m planning on getting it to rehash all the great lines they have. The only questionable part is at the end there is a slightly disturbing (at least for me personally) scene involving the pregnancy.  But that’s all I’m going to say about that, I don’t want to ruin it for you. 

So if you’re looking for a summer comedy that will make you laugh for 129 minutes, then definitely go see Knocked Up as soon as you can.
