It’s Something Different, Plus He’s Famous

I recently went to eat at a newer restaurant in town, Wolfgang Puck Gourmet Express.  I was interested in trying the restaurant because it was created by the famous chef, Wolfgang Puck.  I don’t know how many people out there used to watch the NBC show ‘Las Vegas’, but that’s when I first really began to hear about Wolfgang (he was the chef in the casino for a while).

How’s the Atmosphere?
The restaurant itself is in between a sit-down restaurant and a fast-food restaurant.  When you walk in you get in line and look at the menu on the wall.  After deciding what you want you place your order at the front and then proceed to seat yourself.  I’m not sure if the do this to decrease your wait time to get your food or to save on have a whole wait staff.  When you food is ready, someone will bring you food out to you and that’s it.  I guess the nice part of that is you don’t need to add twenty percent in for the tip, since no one is waiting on you.  It has a clean, modern look that is definitely different from many other restaurants out there.

A Little About the Food
Puck Express has a nice variety of food to select from.  A few of their offerings include specialty pizzas, a variety of sandwiches, whole meals, a nice selection of sides from mashed potatoes to macaroni and cheese, interesting salads, and much more.  Everything we order was delicious and reasonably priced.  I ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and it was outstanding (you must like pesto to eat this however, as they cake it on).  And if you’re in the mood for french fries, they have some good ones.

The Verdict
I would definitely recommend Wolfgang Puck’s Gourmet Express to anyone looking for a quick, inexpensive dinner.  Great food, atmosphere and layout… what else could ask for?  Check it out if you have one in your area, you won’t be sorry.  Here’s the website: Wolfgang Puck’s Gourmet Express
